Latin Fusion
This is a two class sequence, which provides beginning and more experienced Latin dancers to improve their dancing, and diversify their skill set. The first hour is geared toward preparing the body for the physical exertion of dance. Strengthening, toning, and stretching are emphasized in this dance exercise class. The second class focuses more directly on development of dance skills. Students are welcome to take one or both of the classes. They do not have to be taken together.
1st Class (1:00 - 2:00) Latin Fusion - Core
For all dancers, this class consists of deep warm-up exercises combined from modern dance techniques and Latin drills. Bring your yoga mat if you have one and wear comfortable dancewear. Be ready to break a sweat!
2nd Class (2:00 - 3:00) Bolero (Beginning/Intermediate)
This class will cover theatrical and dramatic dance in American style rhythm. Learn steps and develop them into an open choreography. This dance will help couples be more connected and expressive in the Bolero style of dance.
Ballroom for Kids
Join kids ages 7+ and learn the basics of Ballroom dance.
Belly Dance I
Belly Dance I is an introduction to fundamental raks sharki (belly dance) technique in the modern, Egyptian style. The curriculum incorporates key essentials on Arabic music and movement with basic dance concepts from Western genres. Five dance elements comprise every class: stretch, warm-up drill, new technique, dance applications/progressions, and a taqsime cool down. Meticulous attention is given to the development of each student’s technique.
This is an 8-week enrollment-only class. Belly Dance I begins Saturday July 12th, and will run every Saturday through the final Saturday, August 30th. Total cost for the 8-week session is $240.
Salsa Rueda
Also known as Salsa-Casino, Rueda is Salsa danced by couples in a group. The group does beautiful salsa dance patterns and changes partners in dynamic ways. Intermediates can dance with the beginners for extra practice. Beginners can dance with the intermediates until they can't keep up.
$15 fee at the door. No partner needed.
